History
A historic house from the beginning of the 20th century, where tradition reigns. At the beginning of the last century, during the reign of King Carlos I, Solar da Motta took shape. Solar was acquired by Norberto Pinto da Motta, a successful businessman and florist in the city of Niterói, in the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
In 2014, the house was restored by her great-granddaughter, keeping all the original features.
Located by the Douro River, 48 km from Porto and 12 km from Baião, O Solar da Motta offers a holiday home with access to an outdoor swimming pool, in harmony with the surrounding area. Free Wi-Fi and free parking are available.
Customers have access to several living rooms, which open wide and bright windows to the surrounding nature. Water is a constant presence, with its inexhaustible source of mine water that pours into the pond where frogs can be seen and heard.
